Positioned in a deep corridor like space on the upper level of the Netwerk gallery, Multiplications 02 is a video projection that is both a formal doubling of the actual space of the projection and a fictional narrative told by the artist himself. Projected on a panel of mirroring glass that reflects the space on one side, the image becomes visible on the other, only because of a photosensitive foil on the back side of the glass. Because of its specific setting Multiplications 02 creates a feeling of a never ending doubling – the central space acts as a axis around which the deferent levels of the installation circle. Between these levels subtle connections and loops are produced, thus disturbing the linearity of the story and the relation between projection and reality, between backstage and décor and between voice-over and performer.
